Still Reflecting

1/7/02

The Four Noble Truths:

The truth of suffering

The origins of suffering—delusion

True Cessations (of delusions)

True Paths (means of cessation)

We suffer, it is said,

Because of our delusions

Which lead us to all sorts

Of incorrect conclusions.

Four Noble Truths allude

To causes and to cures,

Without which application

The misery endures.

The path is clear,

But long and hard,

A means by which

We might discard

The burden of the

Faulted dream

That life is not

What it might seem.

Here lies a path

Where we might strive

To find the way

To be alive.
