Poci Sunrise

Let me go, sunrise,

I have other things to do,

While you hold me hostage,

Enraptured by this view.

Your vivid colors sear

My optics to the core,

To the center of my being

Where all I want is more.

Your changing shapes

Enfold me in the arms of a new day,

And though I wish to leave you,

All I can do is stay.

You show me, in your presence,

How the world is moving on

And the days we are allotted

Tick off with every dawn.

But you also prove once more,

As I marvel still at you,

That life goes on as always,

Reborn each day anew.
